Improve your pregnancy and labour experience by working with a labour support worker who can help you navigate the unknown world of childbirth.
If this sounds like you, let’s connect.
-
You’re afraid or nervous about birth
-
You’re looking for a more holistic approach to your birth

You’ve had a previous traumatic birth experience and are preparing for your next birth
-
You’re looking for guidance, support, care, and knowledge to enhance your labour and birth experience

A labour support worker offers continuous physical, emotional, and informational support
before and during labour, and in the early weeks and months with a new baby.
Most moms-to-be aren’t aware that the support of a doula (otherwise known as a labour support worker or birth coach) can decrease medical interventions during birth by up to 80%. As a labour support worker, my role is to draw upon my extensive knowledge and experience to support my clients during pregnancy, throughout labour, and in the early weeks and months with their new baby.

The benefits of having the support of a birth coach throughout labour and birth includes having not only physical comfort and massage therapy to assist with discomfort, but also having an extra level of emotional support for both you as well as you partner. As your advocate, I can also communicate on your behalf with other healthcare staff as needed, and ensure that you have the information you need to make informed choices.

Having a labour support worker also allows both moms and their partners to have a knowledgeable sounding board to share your questions and concerns with. A birth coach is there to provide reassurance, make helpful suggestions for a more enjoyable birth experience, and/or can simply act as an extra set of hands to make the entire experience easier, more enjoyable, and less stressful.
